National Heritage Area Management Plan

American
Revolution

The Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area was designated by Congress in 2006 with the goal of interpreting and preserving resources associated with New Jersey’s unique role in the American Revolution. Heritage Strategies principals Peter Benton and A. Elizabeth Watson are leading a team to develop a management and interpretive plan for the heritage area. The management plan identifies issues and opportunities, outlines strategies, and creates partnerships that coordinate historic sites, strengthen communities, promote stewardship, and encourage public engagement throughout the fourteen-county area. The project is being undertaken through John Milner Associates, Inc.
